Christmas Recipe Inspiration at Lindenhoff

For this post I’ve teamed up with Lindenhoff to share about their delicious, chef developed recipes for this Christmas.

Christmas dinners excite me – to cook something extra special to share with loved ones is just so rewarding! It gets my creativity flowing for sure. Every year, my aim is to serve delicious, seasonal food that is a little extra special and maybe a touch ‘cheffy’. I’m always on the look out for new inspiration too.

This last week, Lindenhoff launched their Christmas website – full of beautiful photography and mouthwatering recipes for endless inspiration! There’s over 50 recipes that are developed by local chefs to bring that special culinary touch to your table. With the recipe generator, you’ll receive personalised recipe suggestions for each course – and don’t worry, they’re ranked on difficulty levels too, ranging from super simple (no one will know) to quite advanced. All recipes are in Dutch as Lindenhoff is a local company here in The Netherlands (but no need to miss out because ‘hello Google Translate’).

So, I put this recipe generator to the test and picked my three favourite recipes from the website. Let’s get inspired, shall we?

My Three Recipe Picks from Lindenhoff Kerst

The Starter: Roasted Beet Salad with Sheep’s Cheese and Carrot Vinaigrette

This salad is looks so delicious! It’s seasonal, simple to put together yet also special & festive. It’s no secret that I love beetroot, and this recipe features my favourite Barbabietole Arrosto beets. I love the beautiful, vibrant colours and the delicious addition of sheep’s cheese from Texel. I think it’s the perfect opener to your Christmas table.

The Main: Corned & Smoked Rump Cap with Seasonal Veg

If you are going to serve meat, serve it well! This recipe by chef Luuk Langedijk is created for sharing on a big table and makes my mouth water already. It uses loads of seasonal veggies that accompany the main star – a corned & smoked rump cap that’s roasted in the oven. Yum!

The Dessert: Baked Clementine & Ricotta Tarts

I always prefer a simple dessert after a big meal and I can already imagine the smell that fills the house when these are baked in the oven! Clementines are so Christmassy and citrus is lovely refreshing after a main. I would serve this with a good dollop of creme crue or vanilla ice cream and a lovely pot of freshly brewed coffee to finish the meal.
