We have a pretty good deal in our house. I love cooking, and I take care of our meals pretty much every day. My husband loves being left in the kitchen afterwards – doing the dishes, putting things away and leaving the kitchen ready for a new day. I would say I’ve got the better end of this deal, yet my husband would claim the same. That’s what I call a win-win!

I got to try out a koopeenkalkoen.nl turkey and in this post I’ll tell you all about it: how it works & my honest review. Plus I got a fun GIVEAWAY in store to bring Christmas a little early for one of you!

Koopeenkalkoen.nl is part of Crowdbutching. I’ve known Crowdbutching for a couple of years now and I really love their concept. You basically get to buy a welfare animal together with other people – when the whole animal is sold, it’s butchered, portioned and delivered fresh to your door. They want to make the meat sector more transparent, healthy & sustainable. Beautiful hey? It really makes it easy for anyone who wants to eat better quality and traceable meat from animals that have been well looked after. They are currently operating in The Netherlands (koopeenkoe.nl), Germany (kaufnekuh.de) and the UK (buyacow.uk).

Well, this year they partnered up with boer Anton Jacobs to raise well fare turkeys right here in the Netherlands! When I got asked by koopeenkalkoen.nl to review one of their stuffed turkeys, I was obviously in πŸ™‚
