When I got asked to test and review one of koopeenkoe.nl’s meat boxes, I was totally up for it! Ever since we went vegan for a month, we decided to incorporate meat back into our diet, but only about once a week and from a good source. But how do you really know where the (organic) meat in the supermarket or butcher comes from? Koopeenkoe.nl offers traceable, local and organic meat boxes, delivered to your door. That sounds like the perfect fit for our lifestyle, so I was excited to try this out. In this post I’ll be sharing with you how it works and my experience + honest koopeenkoe.nl review too!
We have a pretty good deal in our house. I love cooking, and I take care of our meals pretty much every day. My husband loves being left in the kitchen afterwards – doing the dishes, putting things away and leaving the kitchen ready for a new day. I would say I’ve got the better end of this deal, yet my husband would claim the same. That’s what I call a win-win!
It’s time for a new post in the ‘swap’ series! I’m passionate about making small, everyday changes that have a positive impact on the world around us. By sharing these swaps I hope you get inspired to apply some to your own life. If you’ve missed the first one, you can find it here!
When we’re on the go we often pick convenience over sustainability. Quick grabs, take aways, single use packaging that gets thrown in the trash – often in a matter of minutes. It doesn’t have to be that way and with some simple changes you can reduce your waste significantly and look after the environment that we share together – our planet 🙂
I got to try out a koopeenkalkoen.nl turkey and in this post I’ll tell you all about it: how it works & my honest review. Plus I got a fun GIVEAWAY in store to bring Christmas a little early for one of you!
Koopeenkalkoen.nl is part of Crowdbutching. I’ve known Crowdbutching for a couple of years now and I really love their concept. You basically get to buy a welfare animal together with other people – when the whole animal is sold, it’s butchered, portioned and delivered fresh to your door. They want to make the meat sector more transparent, healthy & sustainable. Beautiful hey? It really makes it easy for anyone who wants to eat better quality and traceable meat from animals that have been well looked after. They are currently operating in The Netherlands (koopeenkoe.nl), Germany (kaufnekuh.de) and the UK (buyacow.uk).
Well, this year they partnered up with boer Anton Jacobs to raise well fare turkeys right here in the Netherlands! When I got asked by koopeenkalkoen.nl to review one of their stuffed turkeys, I was obviously in 🙂
